Hi, I’m Gemma,
Scientist, lifelong psoriatic and staunch believer in the power of a good cup of tea.
If you’re here, I’m guessing you know what it’s like when your body feels like a battleground. When every morning brings uncertainty about what your body might do today, and you have a surplus of supplements stashed at the back of a shelf somewhere….

My story starts young.
I started with dermatologists age 5. Topical steroids, a blend of anti-histamines and adrenaline tablets and then as I aged into more options- pUVA, nbUVB, and the 90’s classic: being covered in sunflower oil and being plopped out into the garden!
Then, in frustration I started trying ‘therapies’ my dermatologist may not have agreed with (in the name of science). Onto the skin went banana skins, manuka honey, apple cider vinegar, homemade blends with gycerin. Then came the diets: dairy-free, gluten-free, vegan and carnivore. A week of eating nothing but rice and celery – yikes.
I went deep on supplements. D3+K2, fish oil, krill oil, milk thistle, quercetin, NAC, liposomal glutathione. I tried neem oil, CBD, aloe vera in every form it comes in. I made my own scalp treatments. I kept food diaries, built spreadsheets, researched cofactors and absorption rates.
Acupuncture. Chinese herbal medicine. Lymphatic drainage. Dry body brushing. Rebounding.

I didn’t know enough so I moved to Aston University (a top 10% University) and then Newcastle University (ranked in the top 200 Universities in the world) to learn more about the molecular mechanisms behind my flares.
But academic knowledge wasn’t enough. I needed a more holistic approach so then I added:
I came to realise psoriasis is actually a symptom of deeper dysfunction. That it’s on a pathway of metabolic chaos that leads to other disease. Your doctor may have spoken to you about co-morbidities… conditions that are more common in people with psoriasis. Things like diabetes, coronary heart disease and depression.
Psoriasis is more than a skin disease and should never be dismissed as such. It should also not feel like a life sentence. There is SO MUCH we can do to support our bodies to start to calm the chaos when we start taking a personalised approach, and I’m here to help you start answering the questions you keep asking yourself.
Your body’s story is different from mine.
Psoriasis isn’t just a skin issue—it’s an immune issue, a gut issue, a metabolic issue, and a hormonal issue. And the pattern of underlying dysfunction is unique to each person.
This is why no single supplement, diet, or protocol works for everyone. And it’s exactly why I don’t sell what worked for me.
Instead I offer science-driven investigation based on your life experiences, use data from functional lab testing and personalised health coaching to help you identify your unique pattern of metabolic chaos.
Want to start your own experiment?
I’m so glad you found your way here, Gemma x
